Pace is intended for ages 13 and over. This release has no Circles, public profiles, stranger discovery, public feed, free-text chat, photo sharing or free-text direct messages. Family connections use invitations. You control optional study sharing and can leave a family while keeping your study history.
Rules for using Pace
Do not use Pace to abuse, threaten, harass, impersonate someone, exploit a child or share illegal material. This includes names and custom subject or paper titles, even though Pace has no chat or uploads. Do not put sexual, hateful or harmful content or external links in those fields. We can restrict a connection, remove prohibited content or suspend access where needed to protect people or meet legal duties. You can challenge an action or report a mistake by emailing alec@syntheticceo.com; we review the facts and explain the outcome.
Keep family connections safe
Only accept an invitation from someone you know and trust. Check the connected members before enabling sharing. Email verification checks access to an inbox; it does not verify an adult's identity or parental responsibility. If a connection makes you uncomfortable, turn sharing off or leave the family, then tell a trusted adult if that is safe for you.
Tell us about a concern
Email alec@syntheticceo.com with the minimum details needed to explain a concern about Pace, an invitation or family access. Do not send passwords, sign-in links, identity documents or illegal images. We assess concerns, restrict unsafe access where appropriate, and make required reports to authorities. The contact is not an emergency service or a continuously monitored crisis line. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
Study feedback is not a judgement about you
Targets, confidence, XP and streaks are planning aids. They are not medical advice, an official grade or a measure of your worth. You can leave optional ratings blank and revise your targets. Family leagues are optional; you can withdraw without losing your private tools. Pace does not make automated school, employment or other significant decisions about you.
