Email Pace about privacy or safetyAsk in your own words
Email alec@syntheticceo.com from your account email if possible and say what you need. You can ask what information we hold, get a copy, correct it, ask for deletion or restriction, object to legitimate-interests processing, or request portability where it applies. We ask only for information reasonably needed to understand the request and check who is entitled to act.
Your choices in the app
You can withdraw family summary, league or kudos consent in Family without making a formal request. You can leave your family while keeping your student profile and study history. Settings has a separate permanent account-deletion flow. Declining family sharing does not remove your private revision tools.
Young people's rights
These rights belong to the person whose information it is. A parent can help a young person make a request, but family membership is not automatic authority to obtain all their records. We consider the young person's understanding, wishes and best interests and the representative's authority. We do not require identity documents by default.
When we respond
We respond without undue delay, normally within one calendar month. The law permits limited extensions for complex or numerous requests; if needed, we explain the reason and new deadline within the original period. A request for reasonable identity checks or clarification affects timing only where the law permits it. If we cannot do what you ask, we explain why and how you can challenge the decision.
Complaints
Tell us if you think we have used information incorrectly. We acknowledge a privacy complaint within 30 days, investigate, keep you informed and communicate the outcome without undue delay. That is an acknowledgement deadline, not a promise that every complaint is resolved in 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
